Show FEDERAL JURY AGAIN I AWARDS DAMAGES TO JAMES D. WILLIAMS j A federal court jury, sitting 1 in Salt Lake City, last Monday awarded $11,076 damages to Mr. James D. Williams of Milford, in a retrial of his suit against the Telluride Power Co. Originaly filed in the state District Court in March, 1946. the case was transferred to the federal court and trial in April. 1946. at which time Williams v.-as awarded $6,886. An appeal to the Circuit Court of Appeals resulted in tne case being remanded re-manded for retrial because of error in instruction to the jury. The retrial began Feb. 25, and the jury returned the verdict, awarding damages to Williams, on March 1. |
