JOSEPH CHARLES SMITH announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Leah Mae, to Robert Gray Holmes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holmes of' Minersville. The weeding vows will be exchanged ex-changed in the St. George L. D. S. Temple, on July 15th. MRS. MILTON H. POOL, assisted as-sisted by her daughters, Mrs. Elvie Robinson and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence McWhorter, entertained at a lovely dinner Wednesday afternoon, after-noon, honoring her niece, Miss Caulleen Robinson, Utah State Centennial Queen, and her party Gut Is, besides the official party, included Mayor Carlyle Gronning, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Aird Merk-ley, Merk-ley, Mrs. Ethel Nielsen, Clarence McWhorter and Elvie Robinson. The dinner was attractively served on four small tables, with bouquets of pansies forming form-ing the centerpieces. THE MONDAY NIGHT Bridge Club met with Mrs. J. M. Hughes last Monday. A dessert course was served to Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. D. E. Kirk, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. Art Williams, Mrs. Rue Nielsen, Mrs. William. Cochran, Coch-ran, Mrs. Milton Pool. Points prize was received by Mrs. Cochran, house prize by Mrs. Nielseff, honors by Mrs. Moore, and Consolation, by Mrs. Smith. tives and friends here. Dern Outzen accompanied them and will remain in Southern California Cali-fornia for a vacation. ; I Mr. and Mrs. Fyreno Cerroni and children of Tooele spent the week-end here with Mrs. Freda Outzen. Mrs. A. M. Burlimame and daughter Patricia from San Diego, Calif., are house guests of Mrs. Burling-ime's parents, Mr. and Mres. H. T. Farmer. An extended tour thru Yellowstone National Park. Bryce and Zion Canyons, is planned after a visit in Salt Lake City with Mrs. G. W. Ranson Jr., sister of Mrs. Burlingame. Mr. and Mr?. Eddie Anderson and sons will spend, the week end at Panguitch Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Spykerman and two children were here for the race meet, visiting at the Leonard Banks home. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Fredericks and son Charles, of Santa Monica, Mon-ica, Calif., have been visiting at the Owen Stoker home. Betty Briscoe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe, will spend her vacation with relatives in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. She left last Monday. Mrs. Ben Briscoe of Missouri will return with her niece. |
