Show Irace meet queen contest shows spirited voting Utahna Hardy, popular Milford Mil-ford high school graduate of the Class of '47. is leading the field in the race for Race Meet Queen honors. Miss Hardy got off to a flying start in the first day of the contest and her fellow contestants haven't been able to catch her. Miss Hardy has 1298 votes, and her friends are helping her cause by voting for her at the Milford Mil-ford Cafe. Running in second place is Barbara Lewis Mayer, who is saving her wind for the home stretch drive. Barbara has 418 votes and supporters may cheer for her by dropping votes in her "vote bottle" in the Sportsmen's Club. MissWayma Neeley ,a late starter whose backers say will surprise the fans by running a strong race when she gets to the backstretch, has 98 votes, and her vote receptacle is stationed sta-tioned at Ross Boxter's Recreation Recre-ation parlor. Qualifications for Race Meet C'f?en limit contestants to Milford 1 Valiey residents oe-tween oe-tween the ages of 11 and 25, who are good horsewomen. A complete western outfit will be presented to the queen, with western blouses and hats going to the two runners-up. |
