Show Council ponders ordinance change, mini-bottle request city attorney was instructed to prepare a proposed lease. Councilman Child advised the council of the problems of trees and placing of a concrete pipe for irrigation purposes on Second South between 100 East and 200 South Streets. No ac tion was taken pending further-study further-study of the matter. Councilman Creer made a motion with a second by Councilman Coun-cilman Baxter that all city employees em-ployees receive a turkey for Christmas again this year. Motion Mo-tion carried. City council members took no action on two items of business bus-iness at the regular council meeting Monday night which involved closing hours and the permittiing the selling of mini-bottles mini-bottles of liquor. John DeHaas and Kelly Hardman met with the council in regards to their request of last meeting wherein they asked for an ordinance change to allow them to stay open until un-til 1:00 a.m. on all nights except ex-cept Saturday and that on Saturday Sat-urday nights they were to close at 12:00 midnight. Also they requested a change in ordinance ordi-nance to allow them to have dancing in their place of business bus-iness known as the Stocker Club, located on North Main. The council took no action pending consultation of the council and the city attorney. Ben Holley and Catherine Johnson met with the council in regards to selling mini-bottles at the Sage Inn which they have recently purchased from Bryce and Mary Thorn. No action was taken pending further study and consideration. In other matters handled by the council, Herb Miner reported report-ed about his water service line at his new place of business on South Main Street. It was resolved that a new service line will be run to his property at the regular fee of $200. Also, he will be required to purchase a city license. . John Swenson representing interested parties, met with the council to discuss a proposed lease for operating the restaurant restaur-ant in the new Hobble Creek Golf Course Club House. The |
