They are the proud grandparents grand-parents of sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family requests no gifts. S Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Bird R. Brown of H Springville are invited to an m open house in their honor com- memorating their golden wed- ding anniversary Sunday, Sep- tember 28, from 3 to 6 p.m., at M the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. Measer Young, 306 East 800 I south. The affair will be host-ill host-ill ed by their children, Mrs. Van 'a (Lois) Weaver of St. Anthony, Idaho, and B. Ronald Brown of p'; ' Salem, Oregon. Mr. Brown was born September Septem-ber 12, 1899 in Springville, the son of Isaac and Emma Met-ca)f Met-ca)f Brown. He has been an active ac-tive member of the First Ward having served in the bishopric, :rv Sunday School superintendency, and various other positions. He . was also a former member of , the Volunteer Fire Department, .' and a past president of the American Legion. Mabel Clark Brown was born !i in Springville, August 3, 1901 1 : the daughter of C. Henry and S and Clara Miller Clark. She has been an active member of the LDS Church in the First Ward -T1 having served as Relief Society president, Relief Society work director, Era director, and In-t In-t structor director. She has al-V, al-V, ways enjoyed the art of quilt making. Mrs. Brown has also J been a past president of the American Legion Auxilary. Together they have served on the Old Folks Committee. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were married September 24, 1919 in 1 the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have lived their entire lives in Springville, except for a short time spent in Heyburn, |
