Show George N. Jones George N. Jones paid respects at final rites F'uneral services were held Tuesday in the Springville Stake House for George N. Jones, 74, who died March 21, 1969. at the Utah Valley Hospital. Hos-pital. Bishcp James C. Sumsion of the Fifth Ward officiated. Interrmenl was in the Springville Spring-ville Evergreen Cemetery directed direc-ted by Wheeler Mortuary. He was born March 22, 1894 in Chesterfield, Idaho, a son of John T. and Sarah Lester Jones. He married Lula Oakey on July 29, 1919, in Provo. The maniage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Jones worked as a plasterer plas-terer and cement finisher for many years and prior to his retirement re-tirement was employed by Springville City. He was a high priest in the LPS Church and a home teacher.- Survivors include his widow, Springville; three sons and one-daughter, one-daughter, George Ted Jones, Pleasant Grove; Jack N. Jones, Orem; Rex L. Jones, Provo; Mrs.' Dclmar ( Audrey) Carter, Layt.bn; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers bro-thers and two sisters, Frank Jones, Mapleton; Dick Jones, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Herbert (Mary) Gabbitas, Springville; Mrs. Mike (Martha) Maloney, Salt Lake Citv. |
