Show . ;. -A -4 A. Donald Coleman, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Presbyter-ian Church, leaves Sept. 1st. Church leader will transfer to Texas post A. Donald Coleman, pastor of the Springville Community Presbyterian Church of Springville Spring-ville and First Presbyterian church of Payson for the past five years announced that he will leave September 1 to accept a call as campus minister minis-ter at Texas Technological College Col-lege in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Coleman, a native of Provo, has been active in the Utah County Mental Health Association, jut completing a term as president. He also has been Protestant chaplain at " the Utah State Prison two years. In Utah Presbytery, Mr. Coleman has been particularly active on the Christian Education Educa-tion committee, and is currently current-ly serving as chairman. In his new assignment he will be in the campus ministry in a project shared by the U.S. and the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Texas Tech is the third largest university uni-versity of Texas, having an enrollment of 19,000. He will be serving as minister to the 1400 Presbyterian students at the college, as well as teaching teach-ing in the Department of Bible and operating a bookstore and library in the Presbyterian Union Un-ion Building. |
