Show Springville merchants to honor mothers Saturday A Mother's Day gift of a varda orchid will be presented pre-sented to all mothers shopping shop-ping in Springville Saturday. Over 1500 baby orchids will be air freighted in from Hawaii Ha-waii for Saturday which has been designated as Mother's Appreciation Day by the Retail Re-tail Merchant Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. Also in connection with A p p r e c i a tion Day, the Chamber is giving away free tickets to the Valley Music Hall in north Salt Lake. Merchants are collecting signed sales slips and late Saturday ten winners will be chosen and each will receive re-ceive two tickets for next week's performance of the BYU Sounds of Freedom group at the Valley Music Hali. The tickets have been made available through the cooperation of Budd Hansen, Han-sen, press representative of VMH and Martin .Conover, Chamber president. Merchants participating in the Mother's Day event include in-clude Aliens Cleaners, Allen Super Save Market, Anderson Ander-son Home Furnishings, .City . Drug, Christensens, Castle-tons, Castle-tons, Duke Jewelry, Friels Intenors, Gift Shop, IGA Foodliner, Kolob Lumber, Missionary Book Store, Norman's Nor-man's Upholstery, Parkside Conoco, Payzants, Penneys, Quality Cleaners, Rex Drug, SOS Drug, Sprouse-Reitz, Sprucette, Tip Top Shoe, Westside Market and Winds Market. It will truly be "Mother's Day" here Saturday, according accord-ing to Larry Burningham, Retail Merchants Committee chairman. |
