Show Letter to the editor Band, people commended for support will attend lastly the Onion Day parade at Payson. I feel that the success the group had this summer is an indication of "brighter days ahead'' for our bands. Thank you all. Donald G. Schaefer, Director 995 East Center As the close of our 1966 Springville summer marching band program approaches, may I thank your paper and the many townspeople, school officials of-ficials and students who have in any way lent support to our endeavors. Especially would I like to mention and thank Charles Welsh, our drum major, ma-jor, and the 22 high school bandsmen who participated. The 70 piece band did a wonderful won-derful job representing our locality lo-cality at nearby celebrations. The parades in which they marched were at Santaquin, Pleasant Grove, Provo, Nephi, and Spanish Fork, as well as our local Mapleton and Springville Spring-ville celebrations. The hand |
