Show Chamber official to speak here on September 2 Wil Ham K. Wotherspoon, manager of the Provo Chamber of Commerce for the past six years, will be the speaker at the Springville Chamber Early Bird Breakfast scheduled for Friday, September 2. His subject sub-ject will be "The Retail Merchants' Mer-chants' Obligation to the Community." Com-munity." Jack Allen, Chamber president is in charge. To be held at Memorial Hall, the breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. All Chamber members and guests are invited. Call the Chamber office at 489-4681 for reservations before Thursday noon, September 1. Mr. Wotherspoon was born in England, traveled as a small child to Idaho and received his schooling in Salt Lake City. He entered the Chamber of Commerce field in 1950 in Los Angeles. He is past president of the Southern California Managers' Association; past director di-rector and treasurer of Calif. Chamber of Commerce Managers Mana-gers Association, and a graduate gradu-ate of Western Institute for C. C. managers. He will bring ideas and suggestions to help local merchants increase their sales. The topic of discussion will be in keeping with the Chamber's Cham-ber's "Support Operation Springville" project The Friday breakfast will be the first Chamber meeting since May when a record crowd attended to hear Governor Calvin Cal-vin L. Rampton speak at the art building. |
