Show TJapielon The Primary was reorganized reorgan-ized this same evening with Doris Ann Rowberry replacing Mrs. Hjorth as president. Her councilors are Alma Whiting, and Kay Prestwich. Verlaine Tanner will remain as secretary. secre-tary. The Relief Society was partially reorganized also. Joyce Whiting will remain as president and Merilyn Tuttle as a councilor. Winona Da-vies Da-vies will replace Glenna Burt as the other councilor and Er-ma Er-ma Peay will replace Melvina Johnson as secretary. Mrs. Burt and Mrs. Johnson will be members of the Third Ward. The Third Ward mutuals were organized Sunday evening with Peter Lysenko serving as president of the YMMIA. His' counselors are Deon Dove and Hal Brinkerhoff. In the YW-MIA YW-MIA Dorothy Bailey was sustained sus-tained as president and Rhea Bleggi as one councilor and Katherine Brinkerhoff the other. oth-er. A Springville-Mapleton 4-H exhibit was held at the Maple-ton Maple-ton Church last week. Several demonstrations were given during dur-ing the exhibit. Evelyn Best gave one on Civil Defense; Pauline Best gave a demonstration demon-stration on electricity and all the girls in the sewing classes gave a style show. There was one group who studied ento- mology (a study of bugs) and they also gave a demonstration. In addition to the, clubs mentioned men-tioned this year's projects include in-clude garden clubs cooking clubs and home improvement clubs. Emily Tyler home demonstration dem-onstration agent and Robert Hasfsell, county agent, were present for the exhibit. Doris Ann Rowberry is head of the clubs in Mapleton and Hortense Harward is head of the Springville Spring-ville clubs. 4-H work now goes |
