Mr. Randall had v elected to the Board' of tetors of the State Bank of ?C in 1940, following the Lfl, of his father, who had ' Ved on the Board from 1912 s until his death. Mr. Randall married the for- mer Beatrice Pingree, daughter of John Pingree, prominent banker of Ogden and Salt Lake City who later moved to California. Cali-fornia. Mr. Randall's daughter resides re-sides in Boise, Idaho, where her husband is on the staff of the U.S. Forest Service in charge of Recreation and Lands. A son followed in his banking father's footsteps and then went on to National recognition. K.A. Randall has received his training train-ing at the State Bank of Provo and is now Chairman of the Board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the organization or-ganization that insures the deposits de-posits of the public in all banks m the United States. Mr. Randall's Aunt, Mrs. W. H. Brereton, succeeded her husband, William H. Brereton, as President of the Bank. He had been the second company President and served from 1906 until 1939. Mrs. Brereton served from 1939 until 1954 when Mr. Randall became the fourth President of the Bank. Another prominent member of the financial community, Utah State Bank Commissioner, W. Smoot Brimhall, also received his banking experience at Stale Bank of Provo where he served as one of its Directors and its President. Mr. Randal, at the present time, is President and Director of the Utah Timber and Coal Company, an old established firm m Provo. He is active in civic and business affairs and has been Past Director of the Utah Coal Dealers Association. Past Director of Orrden High School P.T.A., Past Troop Committee Com-mittee Chairman Eoy Scouts of America and Past President of the Utah County Banker's Association Asso-ciation He is presently a member of the Utah Banker's Association, Robert Morris Associates, As-sociates, Provo Chamber of Commerce, BYU Cougar Club, Honorary member BYU Alumni Association, Member and present pres-ent Director of the Provo Knife and Fork Club and active member mem-ber and Past President of the Provo Kiwanis Club, Past Lieutenant Governor of Division One, Utah-Idaho Kiwanis International.
