Earlier, the Devils won over American Fork 96-36. One point separated the Or-em-Springville dual, 66 to 65 as the teams competed in a meet Monday. The Devils won 11 first place events counted 100 first p lace points but the Tigers came out on top with better balance in their team totals. Alan Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Platte Watts, was the individual in-dividual star of the meet as he won the 100, 220, and the broad jump. He anchored Springville's winning 880 yard relay team. First places for the Devils went to Hjorth, low hurdles; Watts, 100, 220, broad jump; Giles, 880; Newbury, mile; Everett, high jump; Wheeler, javelin; mile relay (Bailey, Tut tie, Robinson, and Giles) ; 880 relay, (Jensen, Miner, Orton, Watts); 440 fat-man's fat-man's relay (Wheeler, West-man, West-man, Everett, Alleman).
