Show Student tells of BYU program The Cultural Arts Club met at the home of Helen Wright with President LaVern Larson taking charge. Guest speaker for the evening eve-ning was Gary Lawrence who was introduced by program chairman Reva Lynn. He showed show-ed slides of and told of experiences exper-iences of BYU students in "Curtain Time U.S.A." in their travels throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Sent out by the U.S. Department as official "goodwill ambassadors for America and her ideals" the highly successful entertainers entertain-ers toured for four months and were, acclaimed and loved everywhere ev-erywhere they went. Gary reminded re-minded the group that "the people of America are truly in focus." Refreshments were served by the hostess to 18 members. The club collect was read by Leah Crandall. Next meeting will be Oct. 20 at the home of LaRhea Twelves. |
