Called Autumn Ham Slice, the entree uniquely varies a popular food pair ham and sweet potatoes. A filling of mashed sweet potatoes, bottled lemon juice and applesauce is tucked between two center-cut ham slices. A brown sugar-lemon sugar-lemon sauce is spooned over the dish while it bakes. You'll enjoy the ease of using us-ing bottled lemon juice for this recipe. You avoid the fuss of squeezing lemons, and bottled lemon iuice is more economical. AUTUMN HAM SLICE lcups mashed cooked sweet potatoes cup brown sugar Yi cup ReaLemon bottled lemon lem-on juice y2 cup applesauce teaspoon cinnamon 2 center-cut ham slices, cut inch thick Whole cloves, if desired cup ReaLemon bottled lemon lem-on juice V2 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons pan drippings Combine sweet potatoes, cup brown sugar, cup bottled bot-tled lemon juice, applesauce and cinnamon. Spoon on top of one ham slice. Place second slice over sweet potato mixture. mix-ture. iStud edge of ham slices with cloves, if desired. Bake in a slow oven (325 deg. F.) 45 minutes. Combine cup bottled bot-tled lemon juice, cup brown sugar and drippings. Spoon over ham slice and coontinue baking 15 minutes.
