Main so long as it conforms to the requirements of zone two in the fire prevention code. The council met Monday night. The amount of $270 was approved ap-proved for payment to I. Dale Despain for planning services. The council also suggested to James Damico, representing the Lions Club, that the club drinking fountain they plan to build, be put in front of the library building at 175 South Main. Cecil Zimmerman and Don Terry reported the Boy Scouts event to be at Hobble Creek this weekend. The city will as- sist the work projects oi luc group by purchasing materials by applying approximately $300 due the Scouts for excavating exca-vating at the junior high as part of the Civil Defense portable por-table hospital. Dale Wright was given an okay to hook on the city water wa-ter line at the site of the rest room in the new cemetery plot. This will be a temporary line to his building, to be relocated if necessary when the cemetery is plotted later. John O. Bird was approved on the recommendation of Mayor Paul Haymond and Chief of Police Graham, to fill a vacancy in the police force. He was approved unanimously. The council approved a meeting meet-ing with the architect, the contractor, con-tractor, and the ciy council, be held and an inspccion made of the civic center prior to paying $1205 to the architects for services. |
