Show Fish and game violations listed for August A total of 109 fish and game violations were processed through Utah's courts during the month of August, according to the Department of Fish and Game monthly arrest report released re-leased today. Net fines totaled $1,665.50 for the 109 cases. Violations of the 1965 fishing fish-ing proclamation accounted for a majority of the August arrests. ar-rests. Overlimits of fish accounted ac-counted for 21 arrests. Fishing without a license and fishing in closed waters accounted ac-counted for 38 of the 109 arrests ar-rests made. Department spokesmen noted that with the hunting season now beginning, the monthly arrest ar-rest report will begin to show an increase in such violations as carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle and failure to tag game. All persons going afield in pursuit of game this fall are urged to know all rules governing gov-erning the taking of game as outlined in the current 1965 proclamations. The government undertakes i good deal of work that proves it isn't fit for it. George Bowra, Aztec (N. Mex.) Independent Review. |
