These were " j lged by Cleo Heavenor who assisted with other details. Adding a note of charm to the evening was the old cylinder cyl-inder type phonograph on which an old time record was played. An improvised kitchen band, the singing of old time songs by six members of the group and the singing of hig-h school songs and other favorites, favor-ites, proved entertaining. Ellen El-len Anderson was director and Bell Thomas, accompanist. Verses Ver-ses describing the neighborhood telephone of yesteryear, the old tin lizzie, our home town and the band concerts at the park added a note of comedy to the well-arranged program theme. Elected to serve as chairman of the party next year, is Mary Reed with Lucille Bird, vice chairman and Gertrude Sumsion, secretary-treasurer. Many attended the party from Salt Lake City, Provo and other Utah cities. Mrs. Hilda Noakes Daniels was a special guest from California. |
