K , y ; f f : 1 At a well-attended Kolob Stake conference Sunday, directed di-rected by Stake President Ernest Er-nest A. Strong, Jr., several changes were made in stake officers. Succeeding Hal L. Taylor, who has been called to serve as president of the Southwest Indian Mission, Ruel E. Cran-dall Cran-dall was sustained first counselor coun-selor to President Strong and William J. Pratt was sustained second counselor to succeed Claude A. Smith. Dean A. Bird was retained as stake clerk. Richard K. Miner and James H. Lawrence were sustained as new members of the high council and, Hugh Hjorth was sustained as an alternate member. mem-ber. Lewis B. Child was released re-leased as high counsilor; Richard Rich-ard K. Miner, formerly served as an alternate member. There were also some changes chang-es in the stake Relief Society. Ethel Jensen was released and succeeded by Maude Nielson a former counselor, as president. Mrs. Nielson's counselors are Vivian Averett, who has served (continued on page 4, col. 5) O. Hugh Hjorth, who was sustained as an alternate member of the high council. James H. Lawrence, who was sustained as a Kolob Stake high councilor Sunday.
