Show I Recommendations covering Utah s I fall big game seasons are filed ij Recommendations cove ring J Utah's fall big game seasons J are now being compiled by the Interagency Committee follow- I ing meetings held throughout the State during the past two 1 weeks. 1 The recommendations for 1 each big game herd will be I submitted o the Utah Board I of Big Game Control for study B and guidance in settiing the 3 fall hunts. They include game LJ and range data gathered dur- i ing the past year. i During the public meeting's eral deer season, the Board sets the policy. The opening, October 23 this year, is set by Legislative Act as the Saturday Satur-day on or nearest October 20. Proclamations listing all the rules and regulations for the 1965 big game seasons are expected ex-pected to be available after mid-July. A summary of the hunting dates and other highlights high-lights of these seasons will be covered by the various news media soon after the public Board meetings. .j During the public meetings I of the Board these Interagency Committee findings for each of the big game herds are read and the reasons for them explained. ex-plained. Board members then receive recommendations from individuals and organizations attending the public meetings. Following the public meet-J meet-J ings now scheduled for June ? 21 in Panguitch, June 22 in f Salina, June 23 in Price, June J 24 in Salt Lake City and June J 25 in Ogden, all big game f seasons are then set based up-f up-f on committee and public rec-j rec-j ommendations as they have j been submitted, j The Interagency Committee f was formed by the Board of I Big Game Control many years I ago to act as a fact finding j body concerning all big game J and range conditions. The j members include management I and field personnel of the De-T De-T partment of Fish and Game, I U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
