Show I 1t I : 1 i ' r i s- 1 Ray Karl Thorn missionary farewell Sunday Ray Karl Thorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Roe Thorn, has been called to serve in the Andes An-des Mission from the Twelfth Ward. His farewell is planned Sunday at 5 p.m., in the First-Twelfth First-Twelfth Ward Chapel. He enters en-ters the mission home April 12. Speakers at the farewell will be Charles Thorn and Maris Groteg-ut, with remarks by Bishop Don Watts and parents of the missionary and a response re-sponse by the missionary. There well be a vocal solo by Karma Averett, accompanied by Sheila Pickering and a piano pi-ano solo by Creed Haymond. Other music will be by the congregation. Vivian Winnie will give prelude and postlude music. The invocation will be by Bruce Packard and the benediction bene-diction by Bernell Thorn. Others serving missions from the 12th Ward, are: J. R. Peay, West Spanish; Arvid Oakley, Uruguay; Neil Johnson, Swedish; Swe-dish; Jack D. Bird, Western Canadian; Fred Taylor, Central Cen-tral British; Douglas Miner, Northern Indian; J. Nielsen Strong, British South. An object in possesion seldom sel-dom ever retains the same charms which it had when it was longed for.
