V i,' -i , i ' Bonnie Bishop delegate Ts, Linda Child delegate Linda Parker delegate Jo Chader delegate Auxiliary lists delegates to Girls' State Four delegates and four alternates al-ternates have been selected for Girls' State at the Utah State University, July 11 to 18, it was announced this week by the American Legion Auxiliary, in charge of the Girls' State program. Sponsoring one girl each to the week-long govern m e n t training program are the Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club, the Springville Bankihg Co., the Federated Womens clubs of Springville and the American Legion Auxiliary. Aux-iliary. Each organization pays $30 which pays board, room and supplies for the week. Each girl must furnish her own transportation to and from Logan. Girls' State was initiated over fifteen years ago for girls in their junior year of high school to give them a better actual experience in the operation opera-tion of government on a city, state and national level and to teach them patriotism. Delegates Dele-gates are chosen from the top third of the junior class and must possess in addition to their school record, attributes of leadership, talent, honesty and a willingness to return to school and practice the principles prin-ciples of patriotism which they have learned.
