Show Springville may make direct calls to Dugway Springville area callers may dial Dugway Proving Ground extensions directly beginning 9:00 a.m. today. Calls to Dugway will be placed by dialing the new numerical prefix 522 and then dialing the four digit number which is currently in use. The Army's new telephone system and the new Dugway information number 522-2151, will go into operation replacing replac-ing the old number, EL 9-8681. Called Direct Inward Dialing (DID), the new system will greatly expedite incoming calls. "DID is the result of extensive exten-sive studies to determine the best possible method of completing com-pleting thousands of incoming calls to the proper stations," Mr. Roland W. Gardner, Post Communications Officer, said. The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought chiefly on Breed's Hill. The U.S. Post Office Dept. has 437,130 full-time employees. |
