J ' j w Ariz, ' Ko!ob Stake to host region festival The regional quartet festival scheduled tonight at 7:30 in the Kolob Stake House will culminate ward and stake festivals fes-tivals held throughout the LDS church during the past month and particularly throughout the Central Utah County area. The concluding event here is open to the public without charge. Bringing together the winners win-ners of seven stakes in this area, the festival will feature both junior and senior quartet competition. Judges will rate those participating and certificates cer-tificates will be given each participating member of the festival. Co-chairmen of the event are Woodrow Weight, Kolob Stake MIA superintendent and Mabel Williams, Palmyra Stake MIA president, with executives of the seven stakes assisting in arrangements. Thes festival is being held at the suggestion of the General Board MIA music mu-sic committee. The festival will be divided into the junior competition and the senior, with all junior quartets quar-tets competing first. Quartets will compete in the following order in both events: (1) Springville stake, (2) Kolob, (3) Nebo, (4) Provo, (5) Pro-vo, Pro-vo, (6) Santaquin-Tintic, (7) Palmyra. Winners in the various stakes are listed as follows, with the senior quartet first and the junior quartet listed second: Springville stake, Fourth ward, Ninth ward; Kolob, Ko-lob, Sixth, Mapleton; Nebo, Sixth, Sixth; Provo, Seventh, Tenth; Utah, Third, Park; Santaquin-Tintic, Goshen, Gen-ola; Gen-ola; Palmyra, Eleventh, Benjamin. Ben-jamin. Special musical numbers are under the direction of Springville Spring-ville stake with Alberta Hoover Hoo-ver .music director, in charge.
