Show Federated clubs hold meeting in Springville ; Nebo First District Federated Feder-ated Women's Clubs' Persi-dents Persi-dents Conferences were held Thursday in Springville, Spanish Span-ish Fork and Payson with officers of-ficers of the District Federation Federa-tion traveling from city to city to address officers and members of the clubs in each place. The meeting convened in Springville during the forenoon. fore-noon. It was conducted by Mrs. Grant V. Callister, District Dis-trict federation president and attended by Mrs. J. D. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen first vice president from Payson and Mrs. Arthur Reid, second vice president from Springville. Presented to the groups was the name of Mrs. Harrison Conover, Springville, as new historian of the district. Reports Re-ports and program information informa-tion were given by Mrs. Rich- ard Morrison, Chairman of Public Affairs; Mrs. George Pehrson, Chairman of Inerna-tional Inerna-tional Affairs; Mrs. Stella Day, State Chairman of Conservation; Con-servation; Mrs. Jess Peterson, Chairman of Education; Mrs. Max Orme, Chairman of Home Life; and Mrs. Elmer Shelton, Chairman of Fine Arts. Disclosed as the district theme for the year 1964-65 was the thought, "United in service we will sustain our freedoms." Along with the district theme, Mrs. Callister announced the general theme as "Diamond Jubilee of service serv-ice to freedom and growth," and the state theme as "Consecrate "Con-secrate our hands for service to freedom." The state and district projects, she said, would be Community Improvement. |
