City accepts bid for jail equipment It was moved by Councilman Council-man Frank Memory and seconded sec-onded by Councilman M. D. Peay, at the council meeting Monday night, the City accept the bid of Southern Steele Co. to furnish and install jail equipment in the police department de-partment at the bid price of $6,975 which is considerable less than the estimate. It was moved my Councilman Council-man Memory and seconded by Councilman Taylor Reynolds, that payment no. 4 for construction con-struction of the Civic Center as approved by architect Kenneth Ken-neth Long in the amount of $30,841.46 be paid. A resolution was adopted during the meet, authorizing the expenditures as approved in the adopted budget for 1964-1965 based on a 25 mill levy.
