The program, free to the ublic, will be held in the pringville Stake House, beginning begin-ning at 8 p.m. t Taking part on the enter-runment enter-runment will be the Spring-lle Spring-lle Stake Singing Mothers, in I chorus of approximately 60 fcices, who have rehearsed Ver three months for the E'ent. Jkln addition to the chorus flumbers, directed by Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Smith, with Mrs. Betty 'umsion, accompanist, a double 'io comprising Mrs. Marjorie ird, Mrs. Winona Killpack, Crs. Evelyn Boyer, Mrs. Carol lark, Mrs. Elsa Oldroyd and trs. Anna Marie Palfreyman, :.eompanied by Mrs. Annie orshee, will render selections. Afton Banner will render so- numbers as will Julius R. companied by Mrs. Mary Bird. Mrs. Lela Packard will be the commentator throughout the program and Mrs. Jennie Sanford will give a tribute to Dr. Florence J. Madsen and her husband,. Dr. Franklin Madsen. Mrs. Eileen Bird is president of the Springville Federated Music Club sponsoring the entertainment en-tertainment and Mrs. Betty Sumsion is chairman of arrangements. ar-rangements. They are urging everyone in this area to attend the program, expected to be one of the finest of its kind. Dr. Florence J. Madsen, former professor of music at Brigham Young University and music director for the General Board of Relief Society, conducted con-ducted the International Singing Sing-ing Mothers Chorus, when they sang in London, England, a short time ago. Her music compositions are among the most popular and best loved of well-known musicians mu-sicians and the program in her honor is expected to pay tribute tri-bute in part to her and the prominent place she holds in music circles. Dr. Florence Jepperson Madsen Mad-sen as sho directed International Interna-tional Singing Mothers in London, will be honored at public program here, Feb. 7. |
