Show Ram grapplers doing a good job PAROWAN "We don't have a full squad, but the people we have are doing a good job," Scott Doubek, Parowan High School wrestling coach said this week. Doubek's squad will tangle with Panguitch Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Ram gym. Last week the Rams lost a 39-30 decision to Milford on the Tiger mats Thursday and placed sixth in an invitational tournament held Saturday at Panguitch. Wayne County and Piute placed first and second respectively. "We both had to forfeit several weights at Miford," Doubek reported. "Both Alan Hanks (126) and Randy Robinson (132) picked up pins for us." Robinson, who captured cap-tured first place in the 132-pound division, was named the outstanding wrestler in the Panguitch tournament. "He just did a superb job in the finals against a good wrestler from Wayne County," Doubek said. Also picking up points for Parowan at Panguitch were Hanks, who finished fourth at 126 pounds, and David Green, who placed third in the 119-pound division. Following the Panguitch match, Parowan will travel to Wayne County Dec. 16 and to a tournament at Piute Dec. 18 before closing the Dec. portion of its schedule by hosting Kanab Dec. 22. |
