Show Parowan Rams running and ready for region action He'll be a big part of our game." Alan Burton, 511" senior: "Alan is basically a high post player and is a good free throw shooter." Mike Robinson, 6'1" senior: "Mike is a senior and does everything I ask him to. He is a starter and is a real battler." Blake Bentley, 6'2" sophomore: "Blake is coming around and is still growing. He could develop into a great ball player." Tony Orton, 5'10" senior: "Tony has a pretty shot and has great form. He is developing into a good player." Doug Rogerson, 6'2" senior: "Doug is big and helped out an awful lot before his injury. He'll be back in January and continue to help us." PAROWAN - The Parowan High School Rams are in for a big season this year as they battle in Region 12 action. The Rams have already opened the season against Piute and Panguitch High School. Although they dropped both of the contests coach Mark Heppler is still optimistic. "Both Piute and Panguitch are probably a couple of the hardest games we'll play all year," he said. The Rams lost to Piute 67-52 and to Panguitch by a 65-54 65-54 margin. One of the big setbacks for the Rams will be the loss of senior center Doug Rogerson. ' Rogerson injured his foot and will be out for the month of December. "The other kids will have to learn how to play without him for awhile," Heppler said. Heppler figures his team's strong point is their attitude. The Rams have a really good attitude at-titude that should give them a tremendous advantage this year. Heppler offered these comments about his Ram lineup. Travis Griffiths, 5'9" senior: "Travis is small but shoots well and his a very talented player." Dan Robinson, 5'9" sophomore: "Dan is only a sophomore but started both games for us. He has a good attitude and is a good defensive player." Layne Dalton, 510" junior: "Layne is working hard with the team and has some potential." Neil Orton, 511' junior: "Neil is also working hard with the team and starting to develop." Alan Roberts, 5'8" senior: "Alan is a senior this year and has been practicing hard is a developing player." Dan Evans, 5'10" senior: "Dan jumps really well and is a team leader on the floor. He likes to go inside and does it well." Scott Farrow, 6'2" junior: "Scott is a big kid that rebounds really well. |
