Show Idonna S. Mathias IDONNA S. MATHIAS, died June 7, 1982, in the Valley View Medical Center. She was born Sept. 10, 1912, in Cedar City to Hezekiah W. and Ethel Winsor Simkins. She married John Mathias Jan. 3, 1936, in Parowan. She was a homemaker and an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a Primary teacher for 35 years. She was a member of the VFW and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She is survived by her husband of Cedar City; two daughters and two sons: JoAnn Cripps of Preston, Nev., Dorothy Jefferson of Elko, Nev., Glen H. of Ely, Nev., and John David of Cedar City. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; a brother, Paul Simkins of Pahrump, Nev., and three sisters: Lela Nelson of Springville, Edna Shurtliff of Overton, Nev., and Emma Wor-then Wor-then of Cedar City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nola Marie. Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Cemetery. Friends may call at the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary ths evening from 8 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Valley View Medical Center new I C U Unit. |
