Show C. A. MORLEY WINS STATE LIONS DISTRICT POST C. A. "Spud" Morley, Bingham C;myon 'business man and former any or, long active in the local Lions Club and the state organize organi-ze lion, having held a number of ofices and served on many committees, com-mittees, was elected District Governor of District 28-T at the state Lions convention which convened at St. George Thursday through Saturday of last week. Ho won over Herman B. Prater of '.he East Mill Creek club.' Mr. Morley was sponsored by the Bingham Canyon Club. The other three district governors gover-nors elected were: Dean K. Swaner, Farminglon, District 28-U; 28-U; Marion W. Halliday, Provo, District 2f)A, and Lester R. Holeonub, St. George, District 28-H. - ; H -v L ' i-" x I 1 - y,, ' $ C. A. "SPUD" MORLEY Among the guest speakers addressing the convention was John L. Stickney of Charlotte, N. C, first vice president of Lions International. Vernal was chosen as next year's convention site. Attending the convention from the Bingham Clulb were Mr. and Mrs. Morley, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Oswald, Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Cushing, Mr. and.Mrs. Joseph L. Murano, Mr. and Mrs. Verio Kendrick, Mr. and Mrs. Hosmer Pettrson, Mr. and- Mrs. Reed Kelly, Mayor and Mrs. Joe Dis-penza, Dis-penza, and Jack Tallas. The Mur-anos, Mur-anos, Cushings, Petersons and Kendricks went to Las Vegas after the convention for a short stay. o |
