Show New teachers at PB PAROWAN Parowan High School has a new principal and four new teachers this year. The new staff includes Marie Adams, Nanette Cahoon, Mark Heppler, . C.R. Rogers and Leon G. Hollingshead. Hollingshead is the new man in charge at Parowan this year. He is excited about his new staff and is looking forward for-ward to the year's upcoming up-coming activities. He and his large family of nine moved here from Las Vegas, where he also worked in the public school system. Hollingshead said he enjoys the small community com-munity of Parowan and is impressed with the good shape of Parowan High School. He is also impressed im-pressed with the studentbody and the general spirit of the school. He plans to make Parowan his home and hopes to stay at Parowan High as long as possible. Adams is the new home economics teacher at Parowan. She also has made her home in Parowan City. Her first impression of Parowan High was good; she said the school and the students are friendly. She noted, however, that "it's too early to tell" whether she will stay at Parowan or not. Cahoon is the new girls athletics coach. She also teaches physical education and skills. She has made her home in Cedar City. She chose to teach at Parowan because it is close to her home and she liked the clean, well-kept and well- run school. She plans to stay at Parowan as long as possible. Rogers teaches biology, life science, physical science and general science. He has also made his home in Cedar City. He plans to teach for this year, and is unsure about his future . plans for employment. Heppler is the new head basketball coach and also teaches English. He is impressed with the small school and the casual, friendly atmosphere at PHS. |
