Show Order of the Eastern Star meeting Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met Monday evening June 9 at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. Doris Williams, worthy matron, presided. She was assisted by Robert Williams, worthy patron. Honors were accorded Past Grand Patron Gustin O. Gooding. Recognition was extended to Grand Representatives Lelah Wilson, Percy Peters and Edith Kirtley. Mrs. Betty Urban, South Gate Chapter No. 18, Las Vegas, Nevada, was escorted and introduced by Conductress protem Edith Kirtley, and extended a fraternal welcome by the worthy matron. Clayton and Bernice Lewis, past patron and past matron of the Chapter, now residing in Lexington, Kentucky, were heartily welcomed home by all present. Business items included the Robert Morris Day family picnic, the affair will be held Sunday afternoon, August 17, at the Malcolm Hancock residence in Sprinedale. Utah The Chapter voted to dispense with meetings during July and August with the Secretary and Treasurer remaining active. ac-tive. A family pot luck dinner will be held Friday evening, June 27 at 6:30, at the Masonic Temple dining room. Members are to bring a casserole, salad and or dessert, and individual table service. White elephants are, also, requested. A social hour was enjoyed following the meeting. Refreshments were served by Eva Mae and Baker Port. Doris and Bob Williams. Thank you. Lelah Wilson. |
