The ordiances require that the developer provide the necessary fire hyrdrants for fire control. The I proposal by the developer would have each lot supplied for culinary water by a separate well, but does not include in-clude a central system with water lines for the subdivision for fire protection. Cowan was authorized to contact Dr. Richard Thompson of Southern Utah State f College relative to thepossibility of such removal. It was determined that if the cost of removing the artifacts was too high that the request for right of way would be abandoned. In other business the Commission reappointed all registration agents now serving in all voting district of the county, subject to their acceptance, ac-ceptance, and according to existing state laws. Heard a complaint from Partick Moore, a resident of the Parkwest Subdivision concerning condition of the Lund Highway access and roadways within the subdivision. The commission informed Moore that the section of Lund Highway in question is scheduled for coating this summer. However, it was pointed out that the subdivision is required to bring the roads with the subdivision to county standards before the maintenance could be assumed by the county. They did indicate that if the subdiver would put the gravel in place the county could assist with equipment for spreading of the materials. In response to a concern by Dwight Jenkins, director of the Council on Aging for Iron County, indicated that despite some question as to appropriation ap-propriation of funds, that no matching funds would be lost to the Council. It was indicated, however, by James Shumate, county attorney, that there would be a delay in acquition of federal funds into 1981 as a result of delays in preparing papers for in-. in-. cororation making the agency eligible for funding. ! x Ira Schoppmann, serving as Iron County Civil Defense Director informed in-formed the commission that he now has available canvas, possibly water pumps and 1500 sand bangs that could be used for flood control. Shumate also asked the commission to take under consideration the appointment ap-pointment of a deputy county attorney. at-torney. He estimated that such an addition would require an increase, in the County Attorney's budget of up to $15,000.
