Show New Officers elected to head Federation Newly elected officers of the South-west South-west Utah Cooperative Power Federation's board of directors are Carl Palmer of Salt Lake City as president, Leon Bowler of Enterprise as vice' president and Ramon Prestwich of Cedar City as secretary-treasurer. secretary-treasurer. The election was held last Friday night in an executive session of the board in Cedar City. The offices have been renamed to conform with the group's by-laws. Two additional representatives from Iron County were appointed to the board on the recommendation of Ramon Prestwich. Barbara Starr, of the Cedar City Council and Jess Pickett, President of the Parowan Valley Pumpers Assn., will help to balance the board's geographic representation. Before their appointments, ap-pointments, the only representative on ' the board from Iron County and Cedar City was Prestwich. The two new appointees fill vacancies made by the resignation of Santa Clara Mayor Jan Graf and resignation of Enterprise Mayor Alpine Bowler. Graf resigned to make room for additional appointments from Iron County and Bowler resigned becaused of personal health problems. Palmer reported that engineers from LEMCO have been in the Cedar City area for the past week inventorying in-ventorying . the system and will continue the inventory of CP-National's CP-National's electric utility system in the Santa Clara, Ivins and Washington areas next week. |
