Show Council approves Bond Election Milford's City Council met Monday evening in a special meeting and discussed with Larry Denham the bond elec -tion. The motion was made to hold a General Obligation Bond Flection for: Water Improvement $00,000. Industrial Park $195,000. A total of $255,000.00 on April 29, 1980. The motion was passed with all in favor. The Council authorized the Mayor to hire Burrows and Smith as fiscal agent and Fox, Edwards and Gardner as Bond Attorney. At the regular Monday meeting Gary Sullivan asked the Council about putting a 30 x 48 building on a lot next to the Industrial Park. Carol Beckstead was hired as Manager of the Swimming Pool, with Gini Banks and Debbie Brinkman as pool attendants. Councilman Swain made a motion that the council of ficially protest the discontinuance discon-tinuance of the Newspapers to Milford, and authorize Attorney Kanell to see if a newspaper and TV station in the same city can be owned by the same person. It was approved. Golf Course bills of $1,219.45 were approved for payment. Councilman Maxey asked about putting power to the Pavillion. Mtyor Yoangtold Maxey to get plans and figure expenses, and Council may be able to allocate funds from anti-recession funds. Councilman Maxey reported re-ported that at Little League Meeting, a request for a controlled con-trolled burn was made, and for the possibility of C ETA workers to keep up the Little Lit-tle ! ,ea j;ne area. Plans of C'hristensen for duplex on South 100 West variance was approved. |
