Show 4-DGlBb. Home Economics Miriam Limb, Chairman DIVISION A - FOODS FIRST PHASE 4 cookies, same variety. SECOND PHASE 4 muffins, one variety or one loaf quick bread. ADVANCED FOODS One variety of baked products, bread, rolls, cookies, cakes,, pies. OUTDOOR COOKING 4 biscuits on a stick or 4 biscuits baked in a reflector oven or an educational poster showing some skill In outdoor cooking. Exhibits must be clearly marked as outdoor cooking. CANNING. PHASE I OR E 3 jars fruit, 3 varieties (tomatoes and berries not included) PHASE m OR IV 2 jars fruit or berries (2 varieties, 2 jars vegetables, 2 varieties, 1 jar meat or fish, 1 jar pickles or relish Jellies, jams or marmalades, 2 varieties, 2 jars jelly or berry syrups, 2 varieties. (PHASE EI OR ABOVE 4 jars canned food that might be used for luncheon or dinner. May include fruits, vegetable, jam or jelly and relishes or meat. Include a menu for the meal printed on a recipe card, menu will include foods of a well planned meal, four canned foods will be only part of the meal. DIVISION B - C LOTHING PHASE I - Skirt, slacks or divided skirt made of woven cotton or cotton blend fabric. PHASE H School dress, or skirt and blouse or slacks or jumper, woven cotton or cotton blend. PHASE HI School dress or dress with slacks made of woven cotton or cotton blends. PHASE IV Mix -match or casual clothes, tailored dress or jumper or skirt and weskit or slack suit or sport article of knitted or woven fabrics. PHASE V Tailored or special occasion outfit. DIVISION C HOME IMPROVEMENT PHASE I Covered storage box or laundry bag, luncheon cloth or 4 place mats. PHASE H Bed pillow, pair of pillow cases, dresser scarf, picture or wall hanging, bulletin board. PHASE HI Bed spread, quilt, pair of curtains, pair of draperies, bedroom chair or one wood finishing Item . DIVISION D FORESTRY Scrap book of specimens and records. AEROSPACE One rocket PHYSICAL FITNESS A record of achievement or progress made toward individual goals. AU youth are encouraged to participate in the County Fair. Any articles not for 4-H exhibits will follow premium lists for the adult division which fits the article they wish to enter. They will be entered in the youth division, however. |
