This ambitious granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Walker Walk-er and Mr. an d Mrs. Nelson Nel-son Stott won second and third places in the Junior North A -merlcan Dog Sled races held March 4th. She raced 24 miles with five dogs In an hour, four minutes and 31 seconds. All the winners of this big event were honored at a banquet in Fairbanks, Alaska. Karen received four trophies. She Is the daughter daugh-ter of Carlyle Stott and Patricia Pa-tricia (Walker) Stott Yero and lives in Fairbanks, A-laska, A-laska, with her mother and stepfather, Terrance Yero. Lovell and Maudell Crane went to Monroe last week to attend the funeral of Vance Van-ce Nielson, who was a brother broth-er to the Crane's son -in -law, Morris Nielson. Mrs. Helen Cook spent the Easter weekend with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Oman, in Hink-ley, Hink-ley, Utah. Visitors of Mrs. Naomi Hughes were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Goldston, and baby daughter, Erica, for Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Hughes, Colorado Springs, Colorado arrived Easter Sunday to spend a few days. Dan and Dee Ferguson returned re-turned home from Salt Lake City where Dan has been an out patient for the past seven weeks. They are happy to be back home. Milford proudly claims a new great -great -grandparent. Euzella Thomas' fifth generation joined the world March 16. Parents of the baby boy are Richard and Tonya Carman ofOrem. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gillins of Orem andMr. andMrs. Richard Rich-ard Carman of Salt Lake are the grandparents. Congratulations Congrat-ulations are also in order for Virginia Gillins, who is the first time great -grandma. Luella Rollins of Orem is the other great -grandmother. Being a great -grandma is old hat for Edythe Grimshaw, but it's still a special event. Edythe's eithth great-grandchild arrived March 24th to former Milfordites, Brian and Susan Christiansen, of Salt Lake. Their little girl Is named Christy Ann. Mr. and Mrs. Sherm Myers hosted Janice's twin sister's family from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. MerrillMoody and their five children and a friend, Ken Fullmer. They all caravanned down to St. George with the Cliff Brad-shaws Brad-shaws and Blake Madsens' for a sunny afternoon picnic Saturday. Easter weekend was spent quitely at Sadie Griffiths' home with her son's family, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Griffiths and children, who all came down from Murray. Virginia Gillins spent a week with that new great-grandson, great-grandson, in Orem, and was driven back home by her son, Gerald Gillins and grandson, Nathan. Euzella Thomas enjoyed having grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thomas, of Springville down for Easter weekend. On their way home from Martinez, California, Marion and Janet Walker stopped at Vacaville, California for a visit and lunch with former resident, Irene Griffiths Ger-ken, Ger-ken, and her husband, Tom.
