Mrs. Bowman from Cedar visited with her daughter, Vilda and Grant Esplin, for Easter. Betty Olson from Salt Lake visited with her mother, Mrs. Frank (Tess) Elliot, for a few days. ' They Mrs. Elliot El-liot accompanied her back to Salt Lake for a short visit. She returned home again last Friday. Brent and Lorraine Palm -er and family of Cedar City visited her mother, Mrs. Kate Reynolds , last Sunday. They also visited with other fam -ily members while here. Kim and Laurie Marshall from North Platte, Nebraska, have been visiting their parents, par-ents, Gordon and Janice Roberts Rob-erts this past week. They have also visited other relatives rel-atives in Beaver and Miners - special occasion. The occasion oc-casion being the blessing and naming of their grandson, he is the first male Grim-shaw Grim-shaw baby to be born in twenty-two years. The baby was named Lance Conrad, t and is the son of Gail and Lizette Grim shaw from Salt Lake City. Other family members here to witness the event were Clark andConnie Lynn Davis and family from Pleasant Grove, Rod and Lesa Beaumont and Ted and ville. They were here to have their infant son named and, blessed at Sacrament meeting in Minersville. The Roberts family also had two other daughters visit over the weekend: Brian andSharolyn Hanley and daughter from Salt Lake and Kathy and Kevin Kev-in Barnes from Cedar City. There were many friends and relatives from Beaver that attended the funeral of Moroni Klingonsmith in Cedar Ce-dar City last Saturday. Those attending the funeral were Kay and Veloy Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Max Baker, Elaine Neilson, Jim and Beth Morgan, Mor-gan, John and Syvilla Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Cecil and Beatrice Willden and Alton, Afton and Janet Roberts. Carl and Nancy Roberts of Dugway have been visiting their parents, Alton and Af-' Af-' ton Roberts. While here they 1 also attended the Klingonsmith Klingon-smith funeral in Cedar. ! Warren and Vera Waters of Las Vegas, Nevada were in Beaver last week. They stopped at the home of Warren's War-ren's sister, Ellaleen Cart-wright, Cart-wright, enroute to Salt Lake where Warren was to get a medical check-up. Theyre-turned Theyre-turned to Beaver and visit -ed with Vera's brothers and sisters; Alma and Mickey Lowe, Merrill and Mary Lowe, Beatrice and Cecil Willden and Alberta Limb. They attended the Klingonsmith Klingon-smith funeral in Cedar on their way home to Las Vegas. Conrad and Jo Ann Grim-shaw Grim-shaw enjoyed having all the members of their family home last Sunday for a very Cheryl Carter who live in Beaver also attended Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting and enjoyed the family gathering at the Grim -shaw home. Melvin and Brenda White of Provo spent some time with her parents, John and Jessie Gunn this past week. Mrs. Gunn has been a patient at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo and is now home recuperating. re-cuperating. Terry and Leola Henrie and family drove to Pipe Springs last Friday to picnic pic-nic and enjoy the scenery in that area. They returned home on Saturday. Leo and Naomi White and family had their neice and nephew, Debra and Calvin White visit with them during the Easter weekend. Debra and Calvin are students at BYU. Their parents are Marvin and Phyllis White of Wenatchee, Washington. While here they visited their grandparents, Edwin and Martha Paice and John G. White. Also visiting the Whites was Leo's sister, Alice Al-ice from Las Vegas, Nevada. Ne-vada. We enjoyed having our daughters, Linda and Joan, home with us and the rest of the family for a short Eas -ter vacation. We spent a lovely day at Zion's National Nation-al Park on Saturday and enjoyed en-joyed the beautiful drive home via Highway 89. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Hardy Har-dy from Odgen, visited with their daughter and family, Milo and JoAnn Erickson, last week. Also visiting at the Erickson home for Easter Eas-ter was JoAnn's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Hardy and two sons from Clearfield. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Hickman Hick-man enjoyed havingthelr son and family home for a short visit, Hal and Joan Hickman Hick-man and two daughters from Flagstaff, Arizona, spent part of their Spring Vacation Vaca-tion with them and then they traveled to Provo to visit with a son who is attending BYU. They have another son who is on a mission in Tahiti. Ta-hiti. Hal teaches at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Flag-staff. The bi-annual reunion of the 204th Field Artillary Group was held in Las Vegas on the 3rd and 4th of March. Those involved in this reunion re-union from the Beaver area were Cecil and Beatrice Willden, Wil-lden, Bill and Irene Cox, Paul and Afton Smith, King and Donna Morris and Ralph and Faye Fordham. The Beaver Bea-ver unit of the National Guard was inducted into this group during World War II and was stationed in Europe. Many former Beaverites attended at-tended this reunion also. Rudy and Sunny Konold, Clayton and Nila Leavitt and their families from Las Vegas Veg-as spent a short Easter vacation vaca-tion with their parents, James Jam-es and Maxine Henrie. The |
