Show Section 2. Enforcement and Penalty. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person, firm or corporation to perform any act prohibited by this chapter or to fail or refuse re-fuse to perform any act com -manded in this chapter or to aid or abet therein or to fail or refuse to comply with any valid order issued by the Building Inspector or his agents pursuant to the provisions pro-visions of this chapter. No permits shall be issued to any applicant during the time he shall fail to correct any defective work or non-com -plying installation of equipment equip-ment after written notice by the Building Inspector or his agents. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and any such person convicted of violating violat-ing any provision of this ordinance or-dinance shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding ex-ceeding $299.00, or by imprisonment im-prisonment for a period not longer than six months, or by both such fine and im -prisonment, and each day that any violation of this chapter is permitted to continue con-tinue shall constitute a separate sep-arate offense. Section 3. Separability. The invalidity of any section, clause, sentence, or provision provi-sion of this chapter shall not affect the validity of any other part thereof which can be given effect without such invalid part or parts. ORDINANCE 48 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ADOPT-ING A CODE FOR ENERGY CONSERVATION IN NEW BUILDING CONSTRUCTION FOR THE CITY OF MILFORD, UTAH. WHEREAS, the legislature has determined that the State of Utah must take appropriate appropri-ate measures to conserve valuable energy resources, make more efficient use of energy and control costs, and the State Building Board has compiled and adopted the Utah Code for Energy Conservation Con-servation in New Building Construction as required by Chapter 9 of Title 63, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as enacted en-acted by Chapter 12 of the Laws of Utah, 1977, which must be enforced by all political subdivisions of the state. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .MILFORD, UTAH: Section 1. Energy Conservation Code Adopted. The "Utah Code for Energy Conservation in New Building Construction" dated 1977 and promulgated by the Utah State Building Board pursuant to Chapter 9 of Title 63, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as enacted by Chapter 12 of the Laws of Utah, 1977, is hereby adopted adopt-ed as an ordinance of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, Utah, copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the public in the City Office of Milford, Utah. |
