Show Feedback K Letter To The Editor: The reports of soil conditions condi-tions In Cedar City have been a great concern to me. As I have traveled the past few weeks and talked to people "TBouf''Ceaar"CIfyf' they have said, "Oh yes, you are from the place where the town is falling apart." This is of grave concern to me, and could have far reaching effects on the growth grow-th and development of our area. The area as we know it, is a very small part of our city, and still much of the media is leaving the impression im-pression on people that our entire city is sinking. As businessmen and concerned con-cerned citizens of Cedar City, we should tell the news media not to blow this out of proportion. The major . part of our city is solid with a rich heritage dating back over 125 years. Let's promote "What's right with Cedar City! " . As president of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, I firmly believe that Cedar City Is a good place to visit, Dear Red: I would like to share my opinion with you and your readers. I feel the only fair way to solve this school problem is to send a paper ! to every person inMiners- jj 1 ville stating the issues and ii then having a ballot vote, j: I would also like to tell !; the Mlnersville people that if Milford loses their High j School Mlnersville will probably lose their Elemen-! Elemen-! tary and I'm sure that nobody wants that. I also think the people in Mlnersville need to look around a little, like how Mil -i ford supports Mlnersville In everything they do. If it wasn't for the Milford and Mlnersville people we would not have a County Fair or ! i a nice celebration on the 4th of July. Have you ever seen a Beaver Bea-ver float in the parade on the 4th? Also, I've heard of a lot of people talk about sports, well, the kids in Mlnersville would have a better chance to play In sports in Milford because of the enrollment. Again where are our children playing little league? If they have a fair vote, . then I will support Mlnersville, Mlners-ville, no matter where they go, Mllford or Beaver. Just as long as I know that's what the whole community wants. But I would just like to say one more thing, when has Beaver supported Mlnersville? Mlners-ville? Thank you, Mary Beth Bailey a great place to live. Sincerely yours, Jack Carter, President Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. |
