On Sunday, Sept. 25th, the family of Duane andMaurine Yardley were all in Orem at the home of their daughter, Betsy and Mike Cahoon and two daughters, where they attended the Fast and Testimony Testi-mony meeting and the blessing bless-ing and naming of the Ca-hoons' Ca-hoons' new little girl. She was given the blessing by her father, Michael, and given giv-en the name, Karen Maria. Other family members attending at-tending were Arthur Black-ner Black-ner of Greenville, Wayne and Evelyn McCulley and two sons, Susan and Rex Harrison Har-rison and fam ily of Salt Lake, Michael and Sherrie Yard-ley Yard-ley and daughter Michaela of St. George, and Paul and Barbara Yardley of Cedar City. These occasions really bring family members together. to-gether. Linus and Deanna Leppink and family of Salt Lake came to spend the week with relatives rela-tives and to let grandparents, Them an and Opal Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Leppink, Lep-pink, see their new addition to the family, a little girl that was not quite a month old. Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer May-er and son Aaron, and granddaughter grand-daughter Jennifer Whittaker, recently visited in Calif., where the children enjoyed a visit to Disneyland. They also called on Bobby and Wanda King of Riverside and Odette Lamb and family at Corona. They made the trip in their motorhome. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Roberts were in Logan last Thursday through Saturday for aCoun-ty aCoun-ty Commissioners'Seminar. Weekend callers of Zeke and Phyllis Hickman were friends and relatives, Alex and Donna Durrant and Ron and Joy Wadsworth, all of Salt Lake City. This last Monday and Tuesday Tues-day found Bill and Shirley Stewart at Glennwood, Utah with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lor in Paul. On Sunday, Zeke and Phyllis Phyl-lis Hickman, with their family, fam-ily, Danny and Fay Price and family of Pocatello, Idaho, Ida-ho, Robert and Joan Edwards of Provo, and Gerri Ogden and children of Delta, were at the Minersville Ward for Fast and Testimony meet-ing. meet-ing. Danny and Fay had their , new little baby boy blessed by his maternal grandfather, Rubon Dotson. The group enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner din-ner at the home of Ruben and Emily. Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer May-er were in the northern part of the state last Tuesday. They went to Salt Lake and had dinner at the Hilton Hotel. Ho-tel. They visited with their cousin, Calvin Thompson, who is head chef at the Hilton. Hil-ton. Calvin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson Thomp-son of Milford. From there they went to Ogden for a short visit with children, Adelle and Tom McGinn and children. Mrs. Sylvia Ann Brad-shaw Brad-shaw and girls, Sheree and Daynalu, and sister, Annette Van Tassell, motored to Price for a visit with their sister, Charlotte and husband Lynn Hatch and three children chil-dren on Wednesday and Thursday. |
