Show Gov. to address minors The Honorable Scott M. Matheson, Governor ofUtah, will address the Utah Section of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (AIME) on Thursday, September 22, 1977. "Utah's Natural Resource Picture" will be the timely subject of Governor Mathe-son's Mathe-son's message. Members and guests of the local AIME Section will meet for dinner, starting with a social hour at the Seasons North Room at the Salt Lake Hilton (150 West 500 South) at 6 p.m. The Governor, a proponent propon-ent for balanced development of Utah's water and natural resources, will direct his remarks on natural resource potential within the state of Utah and the complicated issues surrounding their extraction. ex-traction. In addition, he will detail what Utah is doing to place itself in a positive position po-sition in dealing with the 70 federal agencies involved. The Governor has made several speeches on this subject, sub-ject, and has taken a strong role in presenting the position posi-tion of the West and of the nation's governors regarding regard-ing President Carter's proposal pro-posal to reform and create a national water management policy. |
