Show No-'time f or Compromise This nation- Is built on diplomacy. Most of us were -raised to the tune of majority rule, fair play, good sportsmanship sportsman-ship and diplomacy. But maybe we've reached a point in the nation's growth when we must stand our ground. Is diplomacy being manipulated manipulat-ed by the bureaucrats, who are controlled by such elements as the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), and the Unilateral Commission. Com-mission. It's truly possible that we've come full circle In our form of government, to the point that those elements that have guided and reaped' the fruits of war, famine and strife, may now be reaping the fruits of peace, prosperity, inflation, unemployment, welfare and corruption. There is certainly a defeatist attitude among our elected representatives that we cannot stop the turn of events we may only gain a few concessions to slow the extermination of private enterprise before be-fore the U. S. becomes a completely socialistic social-istic welfare state. We're being attacked on every front. State andferfunds cm .the one hand carry strings. They may give you the money but you can bet they will tell you how to spend every dime. Sure, and they don't stop there. They tell you how to, where to, and when to operate, maintain, add to, expand, or shut down. On the other hand are the regulatory agencies. They make it impossible to function func-tion without government grants and loans. With their restrictions on industry, they can turn the local economy up or down at will. We've been compromising for so long, we just naturally don't expect to get what we ask. We go into negotiations with not a thought toward realistic figures. And the other side's demands are equally ridiculous. ridicu-lous. The Beaver County Land Users Ass'n. have decided to put their backs together. They will give no more ground. They are determined to gain the repeal of the Organic Act of 1976. A meeting in Milford, August 27-28, will form a coalition of Western States to carry thier message west of the Mississippi. They invite every land user, regardless regard-less of age, wealth, religious affiliation or race, to join with them.-in. .this, endeavor. . It's your country they're fighting for. It's no time to compromise. "Red" |
