Every now and then,, though, we get a letter, let-ter, such as last week, from Sen. Garn or Sen. Hatch, or a phone call, that lets us know it's being - read. That's why we appreciate your letter and those of others. Whether the letters agree or not, there is progress pro-gress in the exchange of opin -ions and ideas. That is the purpose of ed-torials, ed-torials, and the letters col- ' umn. An open forum for the exchange of ideas. Only about one in five newspapers today run editorials at all. Of those that do use editorials, editor-ials, less than one percent are of a nature that require the reader to think. At the COUNTY NEWS we feel an obligation to our subscribers sub-scribers to do more than simply record history or to be an entertainment medium.
