Show : MINERS VILLE Goff. Saturday afternoon a bridal brid-al shower in honor of Debra Williams was held in the Relief Society room of the church. It was given by her bridesmaids, Kayleen Carter, Cart-er, Jody Eyre and Francis Gale. Games were played and many lovely gifts were received. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served to those present. Debra is planning for a May wedding. Keith andShirley Hollings-head Hollings-head spent a week in the northern part of the state visiting relatives. Garold and Marybelle Eyre announce the birth of a grandson born to Bill and Lori Rasmussen in Salt Lake City on April Gth and weighing weigh-ing 8 lbs. 8 ozs. He will be named Charles Michael. The Rasmussens have a little girl, also. Garold and Rodney Eyre spent Easter in Salt Lake visiting his wife, Marybelle and his children, Kendall and Lori and their families. Garold Gar-old tells us that his son Kendall Ken-dall has been accepted at the Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He is going to study to become a veterinarian veteri-narian and will enroll for the fall quarter in Sept. There were eight who took the entry exams and only two were chosen , one of which was Kendall. We ail wish him success in his chosen field. Ross and Eleanore Marshall Marsh-all were In Salt Lake last Thursday for Eleanore to receive medical aid and treatment. They will be going back Sunday for more tests. Also Ross will go into the hospital for eye surgery to be done on Monday. Debra Hutchings and children chil-dren of Price visited a week with her parents, Wayne and Merle Gillins. The Happy Miners met Wednesday night at the Jay and Rhoda Browner of Las Vegas stopped in Thursday Thurs-day to say hello. They were on their way to Salt Lake to j attend the temple wedding of their nephew, Ricky Kearney, son of Russell and Maurine Kearney of Kearns. Pam McMullin went back to Chicago with her sister-in-law, Mary Jo McKnight. While there she will attend the Fuller Brush Convention. Her brother -in-law, Scott McKnight. is one of the executive ex-ecutive officers of the Fuller Brush Company. Marlene Marshall and Ka-thryn Ka-thryn Carter drove to Pan-guitch Pan-guitch Saturday morning for Marlene to get her daughter, Cynthia, who has been staying stay-ing with her uncle and aunt Dale and Elaine Baldwin, while her parents, Greg and Marlene, spent a few days in ! Calif. Dan and Heber Davis went to Lake Powell Saturday morning to spend the weekend week-end fishing. Vella Stephenson, Jay and Rhoda Browner visited in town Saturday, Sunday and Monday with relatives. Vella Vel-la was on her way back to Las Vegas with Jay and Rhoda. She lives In Kearns and the Browners live in Las Vegas. Raymond Davis is back home again. He has been working in Freedonia, Ariz, for the past two or three weks building a home for friends. Marybelle Eyre of Salt Lake was here over the weekend visiting her husband Garold and son Rodney. David and Jeff Hardy of Las Vegas spent their Easter East-er vacation visiting grandparents, grand-parents, Lorin and Lucille Hollingshead. Patsy Hollingshead of Pa-naca, Pa-naca, Nev. visited Saturday and Sunday with her parents, Floyd and Beulah Wood on Sunday. They all drove to Hurricane to visit Vance and Joette Wood and boys. Friends of Bob Fox received re-ceived word Sunday of his death in Tooele. Bob was a former resident ofMiners-ville. ofMiners-ville. He spent his young adult life here. Funeral services ser-vices were held Wednesday. Janet Horton and children spent the weekend visiting her parents, Joe and Ber-nice Ber-nice Ashley. Howard Pryor was in Salt Lake on Friday attending to business. Randy Marshall, son of Kent and Mary Fae Marshall, Marsh-all, was six years old on Monday, April 26. He invited his friends to a party that afternoon to celebrate the occasion. Grant and Blanche Pryor went to Evanston, Wyo. Sunday Sun-day to attend the funeral on Monday of Blanche's uncle, George Wilson. Jack and Lorna Craw had as a weekend visitor Lorna's mother from Beaver. schoolhouse for their regular regu-lar get-together. Potluck was the meal. Afterwards those there enjoyed seeing a film. Dean and Dona Carter went to Salt Lake Monday. Dona stayed a few days to reveive medical aid for her migraine headaches. Effie Marshall accompanied accompa-nied her daughter and son-in-law, Walter and Barbara Messinger of Cedar City, to Salt Lake Thursday. They attended the Salt Lake Temple Tem-ple to witness the marriage and sealing of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gressman and family. fam-ily. The group then visited Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Knight In Kaysville, returning home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Ni-chils Ni-chils and family of McGill, Nevada visited Sherwin and Pauline Wood on Wednesday. Delmer and Ilene Gray are visiting their children and families in Las Vegas for a week. Visitors at the home of Gladys Myers during the week was her daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Myers and children of Kearns. Dean and Dona Carter have had Dona's aunt and uncle from Calif, visiting them for a few days. Jim andMargaret Ann Williams Wil-liams had as a visitor during dur-ing the week, Margaret's mother, Mrs. Dick(Margar-et) Dick(Margar-et) DeRose of Calif. Barry Theriot and girl friend of Las Vegas visited his parents, Neal and Jane Gressman, during the week. Cynthia Hutchinson, daughterof Don and Iva Dell Hutchinson, celebrated her 12th birthday on Saturday, April 10, at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr.andMrs. Clarence Hutchinson, in Greenville. She received many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Goff, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hutchinson Hutchin-son and Homer and LaRue Harris enjoyed celebrating Homer's birthday by having dinner at the HongKongCafe on Friday, April 16. Ern Myers drove to Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho Friday to get his wife, Shirley, who has been visiting there for a week.
