JOLYN DOTS ON Lj WENDY GILLINS i UCY MARSHALL A bevy of eleven beauties will compete for the crown of Miner svllle Bicentennial Queen on Tuesday, May 8th, In the new Mlnersville IDS Church at 6:00p.m., according accord-ing to Mlnersville Bicentennial Bicenten-nial Chairman Daisy Gillins. Chairman of the Queen's Pageant and contest is Mrs. Merle Gillins. Her committee commit-tee consists of Janiele Dalt-on Dalt-on and Edith Marshall. The winner will reign over all of Minersville's bicentennial bicen-tennial activities, and especially es-pecially the Mlnersville birthday celebration on May 18th, including the talent show and dance. The contestants are: WENDY GILLINS, 18; daughter of Clark and Mary Gillins. This pretty blue-eyed blue-eyed blonde is five -foot -five and a half inches. She graduated grad-uated from BHS in 1975 and is attending Provo Technical Techni-cal College to be a legal secretary. She attended Girls State in 1974 and likes dancing, horseback riding and skiing. BEVERLY CRAW, 24; brown -haired and blue -eyed daughter of Jack and Lorna C raw. Beverly graduated from BHS in 1970 and from SUSC in 1975 and teaches second grade at Enterprise, Utah. Her hobbies are genealogy ge-nealogy and handiwork sewing. sew-ing. PEGGY HANLEY, 17; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hanley and is a junior at Beaver High School. She was the "Goddess of Liberty" Liber-ty" reigning over the 1975 July 4th festivities. She is 5'6" with light brown hair and hazel eyes. JILL ALBRECHT, 20, daughter of Milton and Reva Albrecht. Jill is 5'6" with brown hair and blue eyes. A graduate of BHS and Evans Cosmotology, she works as a beauty operator in Cedar City. She was a member of the B Steps for three years, yearbook editor, Harvest Ball Queen, Homecoming Queen, Goddess of Liberty, 1st attendant to Beaver County Coun-ty Dairy Princess, 1st attendant at-tendant in Jr. Miss Pageant, attended Girls State, 1st at -tendant to Sweetheart royalty and voted Miss Success in Senior Spotlight. LACY MARSHALL, 18; daughter of Lee and Lynnea Marshall. Lacy has green eyes, brown hair and is 5' '4" tall. Studentbody secre-' tary at BHS in her junior year, she had a leading part in the musical, "Anything Goes". A B-Stepper for two years, and head cheerleader as a senior. Homecoming Queen andSweetheartatBHS. Sec. of MIA Maids, music director of MIA and activity activi-ty chairman of seminary. Her hobbies are playing the , guitar and singing and she enjoys sports, especially football and horseracing. LYLA TRUMAN, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, is 5'6" with' light brown hair and blue . eyes. She graduated from BHS in 1974 and attended a year at BYU and is a student now at Dixie College. She has been active in 4-H, horseshows and stock shows. Her hobbies are reading, sewing, cooking, cake decorating, dec-orating, swimm ing and horseback riding. KATIE HOLLINGSHEAD, 18; daughter of Mr.andMrs. Marshall Hollingshead. One of six sisters and five broth -ers, she has been active in 4-H, likes all sports, and drama. This 5'4-l2"honey blonde has blue eyes and is a senior at BHS, active in church and plans to attend beauty school. JODY EYRE, 18; 5'4" blonde daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Eyre. A senior sen-ior at BHS, she is a cheerleader cheer-leader and enjoys all sports. She is active in church and plans to attend SUSC. LUCIE KAYLEEN CARTER, CART-ER, 19, attends SUSC and is the daughter of Max and Anna Rae Carter. A graduate of BHS, she was active in FHA and school activities. She plays the guitar, piano and sings, representing the Beaver Stake at June Conference, Con-ference, and was chosen to go to Washington, D.C. 4-H workshop in 1974. She will enter the nursing program at Utah Technical College next fall. LISA EYRE, 17; 5'3", brown hair and eyes, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Eyre.
