Show JV BLOW 17 POINT LEAD; WIN OVERTIME Coach Jensen certainly can't be criticized for not playing his scrubs enough Saturday night. In fact had he played them any longer, they most certainly cer-tainly would have lost. Jensen with a 20 point lead going into the fourth quarter (53-33) sent his heroes to the showers and gave his scrubs some playing time. As the whistle blew, the Wolves tied it up at 63-63 and Coach Jensen sent to the locker room for his horses to pull it out in t overtime. They did, easily, 72-66. Actually, Milford had the game out of sight with an 18-12 lead in the first quarter, and 43-26 at the half, so Jensen figured to clear the bench. He did, but Enterprise, left their guns primed and tore the bench apart with 12 points in the last two minutes, and it - was questionable ,if the scrubs could hang on until the horses were drug up from the showers. It was good experience for the bench, some of whom hadn't seen any action since the first game against Escalante. And it certainly gave an exciting finisli to an otherwise drab game. Ken Jones as usual led all shooters with 30 followed by Brad Kird 14, Rick Puffer 13 for those in double figures. Enterprise had Clove 17, and Ramos 15 in double figures. At Parowan Friday, the Rams Junior varsity had size and shooters and played the Tigers strong all the way Quarter scores were 10-6, 21-11, 35-27 and 53-42. Jones 19, Kirk 16, and Puffer 11 were the Tigers in double figures. Rowley and Benson had 10 each for the Rams and Robinson and Evans 9 each. Friday the Cowboys will come to Milford. The J.V. game starts at 5:40 P.M. New Year's Eve guests at the home of Arm a and Leon Smith were Chloe Fillmore and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walker. They stayed and played cards until the new 1976 arrived. |
