Ethel Smith announces the birth of a great grandson born to her grand-daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John (Waunice) Phillips, Napa, Cal., on June 18. The little lad has been named Owen David. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Smith of Castro Valley, Calif., are spending several days with his mother, Ethel Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Patterson Patter-son and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Griffiths had as visitors the past week, Mr. and Mrs. Am enroute to Mesa Verda and Denver, Colo, on vacation. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Warren Johnson is their daughter, Mrs. PaulaCulver and three children from Dover, Dov-er, Pa. She plans to spend a month. Mrs. Ruth Smith of Denver is visiting her mother, Mrs. Mae Colburn, for several weeks. Robbie Puffer, Sherm Sullivan, Sul-livan, Darin Malchus, Wayne Lowe, Tom Lund and Scoutmaster Scout-master Sam Florence spent Wednesday through Saturday at Lagoon and toured Timp-anogas Timp-anogas Cave. Mrs. Dorothy Morris and Mrs. Jessie Williams visited their sister, Mrs. Virginia Beaumont, in Beaver Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kin-sler's Kin-sler's daughter, Cherie, of Lakewood Calif, is spending two weeks in Mi lford visiting her parents. Cherie is a student at Lakewood Jr. College. Col-lege. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holland were in Salt Lake visiting last week. They had here visiting them, their daughter and son in-law, Candy Hance and two children Lauri and Brande from Kaysville. They were here and spent the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. James Hollingshead had his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mark, Moricur of Messa, Oregon. They all spent time traveling and enjoying different dif-ferent areas, Pine Valley, Meadow Valley and other parts of interest. Also . visiting with the Hollingshead family was Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood of Cedar City. Over the weekend week-end visiting with the James Hollingshead were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob White -house of Tooele Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Floren Bingham Bing-ham have just got word that his sister's (Julie) husband passed away. Mr. Jess Ward of Vista Calif., funeral will be Wednesday June 25 th. David and Doris Horlacher with their two youngest children, chil-dren, George and Rachel, were intheProvo-Oremarea last Sunday through Tuesday checking on B.Y.U. Summer Graduate School for Mr. Horlacher. They looked for housing, and found a lovely home in Or em. Debbie Horlacher Hor-lacher cooked and tended her three brothers while their parents were gone. They were all happy to see their parents on Tuesday when they returned. John Horlacher has been working for two weeks now, in Keith's Lunch in downtown Provo, washing dishes, staying stay-ing with his friend Ben Gore, also tidying his grandmother's grand-mother's yard and home while she is away to Washington Wash-ington State on vacation. He sends his regards to his friends in Milford. David O. Horlacher, with his daughter Debra, drove to Provo Monday . morning to begin his B. Y. U. graduate School where he plans to obtain ob-tain in the next year, an education edu-cation administration certificate. cer-tificate. Mrs. Doris Horlacher Horlach-er and the rest of the family will join them on Thursday, June 26th. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper, were their two daughters, Verla andWilmaj others were Mr. Roy Kellogg, Verla's husband, Mrs. Walter Wal-ter L. Spring (Wilma) and daughter-in-law, Mrs.Kathy A. Spring and small son Shawn. Saturday, June 21, they all went to Nephi, Utah, to attend the Sheriff reunion being held there in the City Park. After a pleasant and happy day of meeting other loved ones, they returned home Sunday morning. They left for Moab, Utah, where their daughter, Mrs. Wilma Spring, has her home and family. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kellogg (Vela) will go to Murray, Utah to visit her brother, A. Merrill Roper and family. Bart Steely has returned from Atwater and Castle AF Base in Calif. In Atwater he visited his daughter, Betty, and husband MSgt. Dale L. Roberts, and children, Renee and Rachelle. |
