And even more, before be-fore the last four holes are completed on the nine -hole course. -0- I remember well those citizens I personally approached ap-proached for memberships before the first seed was sown, before the first trench was dug. While much has been accomplished, there is still much to do. A few have done a lot. A lot have done a little. But we can all do more. And besides the reward of seeing Milford have a first class golf course, you may just be lucky enough to win a building lot right on the golf course. -0- That's right, all dues-paying members are eligible. In fact, that's the only way you can become eligible, through payment of dues. There are no raffle tickets to buy, no contests to enter. However, anyone paying even partial dues will receive a chance for each $10.00 of dues paid. -0- For those doubting Thomases Thom-ases who now want to climb on the band-wagon there is still time to qualify for full membership, right back to the beginning. Just pay your dues from April 1973. You'll get all the benefits you'll have as many chances on the building lot and other prizes as those who have given much more. Your dues are badly needed need-ed in order to continue to develop de-velop the course as fast as possible. -0- Pocket-slze Tiger football schedules are again available avail-able at most of the local stores, compliments of Margaret Mar-garet Kerr and Dyna-Gym. Parents are confronted con-fronted with choices to make in shopping for their children who begin school. Students are increasingly in-creasingly involved in being independent and doing do-ing their own thing. The Beaver School District Dis-trict has surveyed parents, par-ents, students and school authorities to formulate and set up some standards stan-dards of conduct and dress in the belief that these affect our attitudes, study habits and scholastic scholas-tic . achievement. Again this year, a committee will be organized to make , a study of our present dress code to evaluate it and formulate proposals for changes if they are deemed necessary. Conformity to standards stan-dards of conduct and performance per-formance has always been considered honorable and above reproach. Our nation na-tion is founded on principles prin-ciples of patriotism, service, ser-vice, and adhering tohigh standards we set for ourselves. our-selves. Our military forces have traditionally insisted on a specific manner of dress, conduct, and personal appearance being- directly linked to discipline, honor and highest integrity for service ser-vice to ones' country. Our judicial system is contesting such requirements require-ments and makes the claim that such rules are unconstitutional and are infringing upon our personal per-sonal rights and freedoms. free-doms. I do not share this belief. Conforming to institutional in-stitutional standards set for the good of all is not a "bad" thing and does not infringe upon the rights and freedoms we enjoy. Rules and standards stan-dards of conduct are a viable and necessary part of a free society. Adhering Adher-ing to rules builds respect, re-spect, trust and pride in that society. The dress standards approved by the school district will be followed this year and I encourage anyone wishing to propose changes for next year to contact me at the school this year. Your communication, commu-nication, support and cooperation co-operation this year will be appreciated.- v , We need one pianist for the afternoon (12:47) high school chorus class.
